UPDATES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2027

AGE GROUP CHANGES 2026-27
VERY IMPORTANT
From April 1st, 2026 England Athletics introduced a new age group structure for the younger athletes in the sport.
U13, U15, & U17 age groupings have become U12, U14, U16 & U18 with knock on changes to weights and specifications.
Because EA will not support funding for Schools Athletics unless the ESAA follow suit, these changes will be implemented by Schools Athletics in 2027,
The proposed changes were approved by ote in September 2026 and will be implimneted for ALL competiions going horwrd.
Below is a proposed lust of competition probidoon fr the coming season. This onviously appliesto both male and female athletes.
We will be updating each Competiotion page over thenext few days with all availabe details Expect more releases throughout theyear.
